GPS problems

Have any of you found the problem with the GPS where when you are inputting a POI more than 6 miles away it comes up with nothing. In fact, it lets you put in two letters and then grays out all the other options. So if I am looking for an Outback in a town that is 12 miles away, after putting in the "O" and then the "U" nothing comes up and there is no "T" available to hit. Even my Garmin does better. I found that in two other Panameras and the dealer was not able to fix it.
